Movable Type v4.1 has been launched (demos available)

The entire blogging community, movable type based or not, have a good reason to go get some champaign and celebrate the launch of Movable Type v4.1.

This is indeed an occasion you should not miss, since both the Commercial and Open Source versions have been launched! Yes, I didn't make any spell mistakes. Movable Type is also available as an Open Source publishing platform.

I won't take much of your time now as I need to rush and get by own champaign bottle here in London, where I'm currently with business for about one week (reachable on 07876.081.936). The business is obviously Movable Type based :)

Movable Type Open Source is up - Give it a look!

Today there is a great time for all bloggers around the world as Six Apart launched Movable Type Open Source known also as MTOS or Movable Type OS.

What is cool about it is that the product contains absolutely all the features part of the commercial Movable Type (v4.01 as we all know it so far) plus a set of minor improvements and bug fixes.

MTOS is licensed under the GNU General Public License (GPL) version 2.

I should confess you that I've enjoyed the MTOS launching announcement together with the Six Apart team that was present at Le Web 3 forth edition in Paris, including Chris Alden, the Six Apart CEO

Movable Type v4.01 is launched!

These days everybody is interested on various programming jobs, from optimizing Movable Type driven Web sites to creating new blogs or online communities.

While I’m very pleased to satisfy all my customers and I’m truly thankful to them for bringing in more and more work, as well as more contacts, I’m again very pleased to let you evaluate the final release of Movable Type v4.01 which was just lunched last night.

I cannot wait to let you discover this release, so until Byrne and the rest of the Six Apart team will make it available online you are free to check it out here.

Movable Type v4.01 RC 1 is out. Check it live here!

Six Apart just launched a new Movable Type version last night. The Movable Type v4.01 Release Candidate 1 addresses a couple of issues that are documented at: http://www.movabletype.org/beta/

The update is recommended but not strictly required. What makes it worth trying ASAP is the fact that it is expected to increase performance in the overall application and publishing.

Time is running! In between coding a couple of projects fro various customers from private persons to large organizations and writing some specifications for The Economist, there is time to dedicate some energy to my Movable Type 4 preferred community.

Well, I must say I'm delighted to see that people were so interested to check out the new Movable Type Publishing Platform and what valuable feedback was published around the world.

Movable Type v4.01 is turning beta 2

Six Apart recently launched Movable Type v4.01 beta 1 and beta 2 new versions.

Over these two betas the team behind Movable Type addressed the bug reports and patches provided by the community. The issues fixed were mostly related to problems during upgrading and migrating content from previous versions to Movable Type v4.0, but also to developers encountering problems on migrating their plugins to the new framework as well as building up some new and more innovative ones.

On a side note Six Apart announced that beta 2 is the last beta before launching Movable Type v4.01 which is going to happen in a relative short time frame as they started to get us used to.
